Best Dairy-Free Coffee Creamer – 2 Ingredient Cashew Cream!
I have tried a lot of homemade and store-bought non-dairy coffee creamers over the years and this recipe is by far my favorite. Cashew cream is so simple and easy to make, as well as healthy, and with only two ingredients!
My favorite way to use cashew cream is to blend it in a blender with the coffee. It makes it super creamy with a frothy layer on top. Yum!
If you donβt have the time, it is great to put in the coffee as is. Cashew cream does tend to settle to the bottom of the cup over time. So if you are not a fast coffee drinker, all you need is a little swirl of the cup or stir it with a spoon and you are good to go. It is a tiny inconvenience, but to me, the taste difference and creaminess is worth it.

Notes
It is said that soaking raw nuts, seeds, legumes, etc. can help reduce the phytic acid content to help with digestion, but science has shown that this step is not necessary unless oneβs diet consists of a lot of phytic acid-containing foods such as seeds, nuts, legumes, and beans.
In moderation, cashews provide a great source of protein, healthy fats, calcium, magnesium and more. Click here for a full list of benefits.
Optional Flavor Ideas:
I usually drink my coffee with the basic cashew cream recipe, but on occasion, I like to add some festive flavors depending on my mood or the time of year.
- Want a touch of sweetness? Add 1-2 pitted Medjool dates.
- Prefer vanilla coffee creamer? Add Β½ – 1 tsp vanilla extract.
- Looking for that cozy fall feeling? Add 2-3 Tbsp of pumpkin puree and Β½ tsp of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice.
- Feeling festive? Add 2-3 Tbsp cacao or cocoa powder and β tsp mint extract or less depending on how strong your mint extract is. I suggest starting with a few drops and add more to taste.
- Looking to spice it up with a little Middle Eastern flare? Add 1 tsp cardamom powder.
Cashew Cream is also a great base for many dips, sauces, and dressings. More recipes to come!
